They have been improved and changed slightly to keep up with trends. But for the majority of the early designs, they remain mostly identical to the original ones in the early days of the craft.

One thing that is somewhat unique in the jewelry world is that not only are the craftsmen here encouraged to think outside the box and make new designed, they are credited with them and they get full name recognition. What that means that the actual designers name will be associated forever with that design.

In the early years of his existence the young silversmith made most of his sales out of the same shop where they were produced. He also spent a lot of time collaborating with other young designers.

As his success began to grow in the fine silver jewelry arena he began to expand out into making what is called hollowware. These include coffee and tea services and the like and these are still a mainstay of the company to this very day.

As things progressed and the workload became heavier, the financial drains became fairly heavy and around the year 1916 which he solved by making his company public under the name of Georg Jensen Silversmithy LTD and offer up shares of stock in his company to investors looking to share in the wealth of the company and allowing an influx of financial capitol from which to operate.

Georg Jensen died in 1935 but his legacy lives on to this very day in the designs that embody those early years and are visible in rings, necklaces, rings and most any other form of jewelry including women and men’s pieces and accessories.
